At Titirangi Golf Course recent updates and the subtle cunning of one of the great masters of golf design, 'Dr Alister MacKensie' provide interest, variety and a true golfer's test at his only New Zealand masterpiece.  Reminiscent of another of his famous designs, 'Augusta' with the Amen Corner at 12, 13 and 14 this is a memorable walk among tall exotics, native New Zealand bush and undulating landscapes.  It is situated in the Western Suburbs of Auckland 20 minutes from the city.

Akarana Golf Course is located between the city and Titirangi in the Western Suburbs, it is a compact short course but demands good shot making skills, with its two distinct nines, the shorter inner loop with a par of 34 has one of the best holes in Auckland, the par 3 8th with a narrow green bunkered left and water to the right.  The longer outer nine which has out of bounds on the left of six holes and the two longer par 5's. It is in my opinion a little sister to Titirangi, and a really great golf course.

Mangakiekie Golf Course which is located just down the road from the other two is an underrated jewel, although not in as pristine condition as the other two, it is a brilliant layout with holes that go in all sorts of directions and the elevation changes are constant throughout all 18 holes.

This motel complex has modern warm and spacious units, that have full kitchen facility's and it is just a stones throw to the New Lynn Shopping Centre and local restaurants and bars.
