GAME RULES

ON THE FIRST TEE AND THE FIRST HOLE

On the first tee toss a coin or throw the balls up to see who is first off, second off etc. This is very important as the person who goes first gets the upperhand.

All chips stay in the bag until the end of the first hole except for the Match-Play chip (Deluxe Set), which is given to the player that is teeing off last. Most honest person usually holds the bag of chips.

After the completion of the first hole the chips are then handed out to the players that made the chip play during the course of the first hole, if more than one player made the chip playthen it is simply worked out by who had the honour on the first tee, if it is a Positive Chip it goes to the player who started first and if it is a Negative Chip it goes to the player who started last.

PLAYING FINAL 17 HOLES

Players that obtain chips on the first hole hold them until another player makes that chips play on a hole where the holder of the chip fails to do so, this goes for the positive and negative chips.

Example 1. PLAYER A holds the 1 PUTT chip from 1 putting the first hole, but has a two putt on the second green, PLAYER B has a 1 putt on the second green therefore will take the 1 PUTT chip from PLAYER A.

Example 2. PLAYER A holds the FAIRWAY chip but fails to hit the fairway on the second hole, PLAYER B and PLAYER C both hit the fairway on the second hole, as the FAIRWAY chip is a positive chip it will go to the player out of PLAYER B and PLAYER C who went first off on the second tee.t was the TREE chip which is a negative chip then it would go to who went last off the second tee.

HOW THE HAGGLE WORKS

  • Nominate a chip value that will suit all players in your group, a popular amount is 50 cents.  You may want to nominate certain chips to be worth more or less than others, if this is the case then it is advised to write the values down before you tee off and make sure all players have a copy.
  • After play has been completed and players have completed there scorecards etc, each player will produce there chips they have earned during play and proceed with the following steps.
  • Start with one players chip stack first, PLAYER A, and seperate the POSITIVE and NEGATIVE chips, for each POSITIVE chip that PLAYER A has they will collect the nominated chip value from all other players in the group. example, 3 positive chips @50 cents = $1.50. Then for each negative chip PLAYER A will pay the other players in the group. example, Player A has 2 negative chips @50 cents =$1. So the total each player owes PLAYER A is 50cents each.
  • Now move on to the next player's chip stack of chips and continue as above until all players are done, pay out what is owed and then hand the chips back into the bank.
  •
