Whangaparaoa Peninsular Five Day Tour

Gulf Harbour, Peninsular, Whangaparaoa and North Shore golf courses.

Staying 30 minutes north of Auckland right on the Whangaparaoa Peninsular makes this tour a real great getaway, this peninsular is home to the great Gulf Harbour Country Club as well as two other golf courses, also it is home of the Americas Cup were all the boats raced and stayed. The golf courses on the peninsular are a joy to play and have spectacular views in every direction, The 4th course is between the peninsular and North Auckland and the course is equally as impressive as the rest.

The Gulf Harbour Resort Course, it's spectacular finishing holes, ocean views, rolling terrain and classic traditional values all combine to make this a excellent golfing experience. The 6,400 metre par 72 course is located on the Whangaparaoa Peninsular and meanders through native grasses and vegetation, it has a natural look and feel from start to finish. Gulf Harbour hosted the 2000 World Cup of Golf, when the big hitting John Daly played for the U.S.A team.

Also a short drive away is the Peninsular Golf Course, it has recently had some of the holes redesigned and it is exceptionally well maintained, it has plenty of elevation changes and a great club atmosphere. Whilst not being too long, it's still a good test of golf with water coming into play on some holes, it has great views of the Huraki Gulf and is ideally situated on the main highway.

Whangapaoa Golf Course sits near the end of the Whangaparaoa Peninsular and has striking views of Gulf Harbour and the Pacific, the fairways are tree lined adding to the testing nature of the course, this is a short golf course and is the place to try and shoot that low round. Also on the drive out there is a great view of where they held the Americas Cup.

The North Shore Golf Club is located on the upper fringes of the Waitemata Harbour, adjacent to the fast growing Albany area. Features of this picturesque course are 27 tree lined holes that offer the player the option of three different 18 hole layouts; Red, Blue and Gold. Each covers undulating terrain and the scenic aspect of the club encompasses rural views poised above the natural backdrop of the Lucas Creek escarpment.

Gulf Harbour Lodge is set in a picturesque marina village, Situated on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, next to beaches, coastal walks, thermal natural pools of Waiwera and the Gulf Harbour Country Club, home of the NZ Open and World Cup of Golf.
