Terrace Downs High Country Resort Course offers a par 72, 18-hole championship golf course, rated as one of the top courses and golfing destinations in New Zealand. Based at the foothills of the Southern Alps, there are very few scenic alpine courses like it.  The course was designed by Sid Pudicombe and Associates in 1993 and officially opened in December 2001. It offers a unique mixture of Parkland's and Links style with the underlying philosophy of the course development assuring its integration into the natural environment and the respect and enjoyment of all who play on it. The views of the Rakaia Gorge and mountain vistas remain a constant challenge for players to keep their eye on the ball!

The Clearwater Resort Course is a par 72 championship course is home to the HSBC NZ PGA Championship. Designed by John Darby in consultation with New Zealand golfing legend, Sir Bob Charles, the course combines elements of links golf inspired by the great Scottish courses with parkland golf, more reminiscent of Florida.  Playable year-round, the course meanders around a succession of spring-fed lakes and trout-filled streams, with uninterrupted views of the spectacular Southern Alps.

The oldest club in Christchurch, the Shirley Links Course where the course will surprise you as its a real gem, although not a resort course it is as good as any golf course in the South Island and has held plenty of NZ Opens and numerous amateur events, it has water hazards and plenty of bunkers, to play well on this tour you have to have your A game as these courses are all a real challenge, if its windy don't plan on playing to your handicap.
